Melissa Johnson, MA, LMFT

Melissa L. Johnson is a licensed marriage and family therapist, spiritual director, and the founder of Impossible Beauty, a blog and podcast dedicated to redefining beauty as “the life of God at work in us and among us.” Melissa’s writing and podcast interviews seek to uncover what true beauty is, what it is not, and how we go about finding beauty in a broken world. Melissa is also the author of Soul-Deep Beauty: Fighting for our True Worth in a World Demanding Flawless.

 
 

lisa diers, RDN, LD, E-RYT

Lisa Diers is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Yoga Teacher with extensive experience in both disciplines. Over the past 20 + years, she has provided practical, inclusive and trauma sensitive approaches to healing from eating disorders, disordered eating, negative body image, trauma recovery, challenging relationships to movement and exercise, anxiety, depression and stress related symptoms. Lisa works from a non-diet approach.

Brittany Quinn, M.M.

Brittany Henry Quinn is an active performer and teacher in the Twin Cities area. She teaches on the faculty at the University of Northwestern and directs the UNW Academy of Music. Before moving to Minnesota, she was violin and viola faculty and chamber coordinator at the Northwestern University Music Academy in Evanston, IL. Brittany also performs as a first violinist with the Minnesota Opera Orchestra.

-Welcome and teaching on "Why We Need to Redefine Beauty" by Melissa L. Johnson, MA, LMFT

-Reflections on reimagining beauty, featuring special music by violinist, Brittany Quinn of the Minnesota Opera Orchestra

SATURDAY:

8:00-10:00 AM

-Continental Breakfast
