"People Over Perfection"

“People Over Perfection”

with Abby Turner

Abby Turner is a food blogger, speaker, and writer. Born into a large family, she grew up in Central Arkansas, where she learned the importance of community and hospitality at a young age. After obtaining her master’s degree from Baylor, Abby lived in 6 states in 5 years and learned how essential community is to wellbeing and faith. Abby’s passion is to encourage women to stop wasting time waiting for the perfect family, house, or table and to start opening their homes, cooking for friends, and building community. Abby also recently released her latest book, The Living Table: Recipes and Devotions for Everyday Get-togethers.

What especially strikes me about Abby’s message is how she frames the importance of gathering at the table. She’s caused me to see how incredibly sacred and healing the table is. A meal is built in time to connect with others, be known, and let others know they are known and loved. It’s much more than recipes or meal planning, it’s about relationships. I can’t wait for you to listen in and learn from Abby.
